Krause, Walter, 1917-

Abstract Walter Krause retired as a professor of international economics at the University of Iowa. He attended Reed in 1934 and 1935 with the Class of 1938 and earned his BA and MA from the University of Oregon, going on to Harvard for a PhD in international economics in 1945. He taught at many American universities and consulted widely on international economics and economic development, with particular expertise in Latin America and Southeast Asia.
