Notes from FileMaker 'Lecturer/Performer' field: Lankford, William T. (Bill)

Notes from FileMaker 'Cross-Reference Titles' field: "I am sending...CDs I burned recently featuring the former Reed professor, Bill Lankford, who taught at Reed in the late 70's and early 80's before succumbing to cancer in his 30's. These CDs were burned from a series of audio cassette tapes that were sent to me by Bill's mother, Gretchen Lankford, who lives in Pittsburgh, Pa...Recently she unearthed these tapes, and I offered to convert them to digital form. The quality of the resulting files is fairly rough and uneven--I did not try to correct them, so they reflect all the inadequacies of the original recordings..." (Steve Forrest '80, in letter dated 9/7/2008, sent to Reed College Library; Gift acknowledged by Gay Walker, 9/2008)
