Biographical / Historical
Founded in 1950, the Oregon Colleges Foundation was an organization of the state’s private colleges. The colleges banded together to solicit funding. Businesses could give a single donation to the foundation or to a single college within the foundation. Participating member colleges included Cascade College, Lewis and Clark, Linfield, Marylhurst, Mt. Angel Women’s College, Multnomah College, Pacific University, Reed, the University of Portland, and Willamette University.
