Lois Badger Van Auken papers
Scope and Contents
The Lois Badger Van Auken Papers contain a collection of Van Auken’s Reed College class assignments including a German 31 Class Notebook, as well as notes from Biology and English classes.
The Papers also include correspondence relating to Lois’ personal life, including letters to and from her fiancé Earl David Van Auken, family members, and other friends. Included in some letters are newspaper clippings, photographs, cards, or miscellaneous Reed College information.
Additionally, the papers include correspondence with Martha Sumption. They are primarily personal letters between Martha and Wesley Sumption.
Miscellaneous files include undated correspondence, telegrams, commencement information and exams from Psychology 22, French 22, and Education 31.
