Collection of early handwriting examples
Collection of early printing examples
The Early Printing Collection consists of dozens of examples of early printed works dating from 1476 through the 18th century. A few more recent examples of fine printing and several facsimile pages are also included. The examples consist primarily of the printing examples collected by Professor Lloyd Reynolds and used in his teaching at Reed (1929-1969) and gifts from Steven Herold '63.

Covid-19 posters and banners
In March 2020 in response to the Covid 19 pandemic Reed College applied pandemic restrictions to allow for continued academic activity. Posters were hung throughout campus by Reed College facilities to remind students to wash hands, social distance, and wear a mask. Tent classrooms were set up outside of Eliot Hall during the fall 2020 semester. The tents were named after the three elements, Earth, Wind, and Fire, and banners were hung outside.
Craig Clinton papers
Craig Clinton taught theatre at Reed College from 1978 until his retirement as emeritus professor in 2010. While at Reed, Clinton directed more than two dozen plays and had several Portland productions of his own dramas, including Slide and Swap. He continued to write scripts for plays through 2015 with Fleaz. The Papers consist of play scripts written by Clinton from 1970 through 2015, along with some supplementary material for Holy Madness and Clinton’s biographical information.

David Eddings papers
David Eddings (1931-2009) graduated from Reed in 1954, the first two years being spent at Everett Junior College. Interested in acting and literature, Eddings wrote plays, short stories, and novels all his life. At the age of 41, he was finally successful at getting his work published when he changed genres from action/adventure to fantasy. Eddings wrote 24 fantasy novels and three other works during his career, many with his wife, Leigh Schall Eddings.
David Reed papers
David Reed is a conceptual and visual artist, a colorist of large brushstrokes, brilliant colors, and long abstract paintings on canvas. He graduated from Reed College in 1968 and moved to New York City, where he and his work have had a significant presence to the present. This collection includes biographical information and the correspondence, paperwork, images, and publicity surrounding the exhibit of his work mounted by Professor Charles Rhyne at Reed in 1975.
