Richard Potter graduated from Reed College in 1950 in biology, obtaining his PhD from the University of Rochester. He taught physiology at California State University, Northridge, throughout his career. This collection contains three cases of laboratory slides from his classes.

Richard Ritz was a Portland architect who worked for Pietro Belluschi for 5 years and later with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. He wrote A History of the Reed College Campus and its Buildings in 1990. The Reed College Talented and Gifted Program (TAG) was a joint program designed by Portland Public Schools and Reed College that ran from 1980 to the present. It is now known as the Young Scholars Program. The items in this collection range from 1954 to 1995 and include correspodence, memos, receipts, programs, and related materials.
